Coming off of a seven-game win streak, Asbury baseball moves to 13-10 on the season as they host Indiana University Purdue-University Columbus (IUPUC) for the second time this month, having collected the sweep late last week.
The Eagles will face off with the Crimson Pride once again on Thursday afternoon in a doubleheader at 2 and 5:30 PM.
AU is coming off a strong win over Berea College on Tuesday evening, as the Eagles powered through to win 14-3, with the team earning double-digit hits for the seventh straight game (10).
The Eagles have been on an impressive streak, scoring 106 runs in their last seven games, accounting for over half of the Eagle's total runs scored this season.
Freshmen, Andrew Billington made some noise against IUPUC last time, recording a 3 RBI homerun, his first of the season. It was senior, Noah Brown who helped keep the bats hot for AU against IUPUC previously, hitting his first grand slam of the season.
Billington and Brown are looking to be a dangerous pair at the plate against the Crimson Pride, once again.
IUPUC is coming off of a tough start to their season, only grabbing one win early in the season against Huntington University.
The Crimson Pride has faced a competitive schedule of teams, including Concorida-Ann Arbor University, who AU fell to earlier on in the season off of a three-game series.
