Asbury men's basketball (19-6) opens up the NCCAA National Tournament on Wednesday afternoon against Clinton College (20-1). This will be the first ever meeting between the two programs who have both have excellent seasons so far.
AU is fresh off their rout of the NCCAA Mideast Regional Tournament where they beat KCU and Alice Lloyd in double-digit wins. Graduate forward Nick Fort was recently named Mideast Region Player of the Year for leading his team with 24.4 PPG and 10.8 RPG. Asbury head coach Will Shouse was named Mideast Region Coach of the Year for Asbury's strong 2022-2023 regular season.
Clinton comes into the tournament as the No. 3 seed averaging an impressive 111 points per game, shooting 51.9 percent from the field. Asbury comes in at the No. 6 seed with a defense holding teams to 76.8 points per game and a 45.9 field goal percentage.

NCCAA National Tournament | Opening Round | Hosted by Grace College (Winner Goes to Final Four)
Asbury women's hoops (17-10) received an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Tournament with their Mideast Region Title win over Alice Lloyd. The Eagles earned a No. 7 seed and will meet the No. 2 seed, College of the Ozarks (23-5) on Wednesday at 3:45 pm.
Asbury will count on their suffocating defense and quick scoring offense to move onto the final four in their first ever meeting with College of the Ozarks. AU had three players named to the NCCAA Mideast All Region Team including Trinity Shearer, Haleigh Releford, and Jaclynn Ruble. Asbury head coach Chad Mayes was named the Region Coach of the Year after the Eagles solid 2022-2023 season.
College of the Ozarks has won 14 games in a row coming into the tournament after beating Baptist Bible College in their regional for the automatic bid. AU has won three straigh to be playing some of their best basketball of the season.

Asbury vs. Ohio Wesleyan | 5 PM | Cecil Zweifel Field | Wilmore, Ky. | Basball
Asbury baseball (6-9) welcomes Ohio Wesleyan University (5-2) for the two program's first ever meeting on Wednesday night at 5 pm. The matchup will be Asbury's second in two days as the Eagles fell on Tuesday night to Centre College in Danville, Ky. The Battling Bishops have won three straight since starting off the year 2-2.
The Eagles are 5-4 at home this season while playing 1-5 away from their home dirt. Seniors Jackson Cole and Noah Brown lead AU offensively, Colehitting .419 and Brown at .383.
Asbury will look to get back in the win column over Divison III opponent OWU before heading into the home weekend series with MUW.

Asbury men's tennis opened up their spring break week on Tuesday with a sweep win over IU East, moving to 5-1 on the spring season. AU women's tennis slipped in their first match day of the week in a close battled with Edgewood, 4-5.
Both teams meeting Concordia University (Wisc.) today at 12:30 pm for their second competition in two days in Hilton Head, S.C.
