STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
WILMORE, Ky. --- Today's gameday matchup previews are below:
 

Asbury at Liberal Arts Conference Championship | 2/8/23-2/11/23 | 11 AM | Elsah, Il. | Men's Swimming and Women's Swimming
Today Asbury Men's and Women's Swimming will begin their final competition of their 2022-23 season.
The Eagles traveled to Elsah, Il., to compete in the four-day Liberal Arts Conference Championship held in the Principia College Natatorium.
The championship will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; February 8 - 11, 2023.

The meet begins on Wednesday evening at 5:30pm with the 800 Freestyle Relay. After that, each day will start with prelims at 10am and the finals session will begin at 5:30pm. The championship will wrap up with the finals session on Saturday.

Including the Eagles, there will be six teams competing in the Conference Championship-
The Minnesota Morris Cougars, the Principia Panthers, the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks, the Williams Baptist Eagles, and the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees.

The Order of AU's Events is as Follows:
Wed. 2/8  I 
800 Freestyle Relay
Thur. 2/9  I 200 Freestyle Relay, 500 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, 50 Freestyle, 400 Medley Relay
Fri. 2/10  I 400 Individual Medley, 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, 200 Medley Relay
Sat. 2/11  I 1,650 Freestyle (the mile), 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, 400 Freestyle Relay


The Eagles are coming into the week off of a strong season, and will be using their momentum to push themselves at conference to earn a successful end to their 2022-23 campaign.

Asbury vs. Campbellsville-Harrodsburg  | 2/8/23 | 6 PM | Wilmore, Ky. | Women's Basketball  
This afternoon women's basketball will host a game against the Campbellsville-Harrodsburg Pioneers at 6 pm.

Today is their first home game back after five long weeks of traveling and six competitions, still bringing home four wins. The Eagles had an outstanding week of competition last week, with the team recording their first 100 points game of the season against Johnson and Wales.

Many players recorded season-highs; Haleigh Releford with her first double-double (25 PTS, 11 REB against Warren Wilson ), Jaclynn Ruble (9 AST at Warren Wilson), Spencer Harvey (18 PTS, 4 3's, and 6 in the field made at Welch), and Tiffany Riley (7 STL against Welch).

As the women wrap up their season with three more home games, they look forward to carrying their momentum over to regionals.
