Asbury Baseball (3-4) returns home on Tuesday evening to face Kentucky State (5-5) for their second meeting in two weeks. Kentucky State took the matchup last Tuesday in Frankfort, Ky., completing a comeback in the bottom of the ninth with a walkoff double. AU had eight hits in the game and produced 12 runs to fall just short.
The Thorobreds lead the overall series between the two programs 13-12 since 2010. Asbury will look to even up the series today as they go for their third home win out of three games.
The Eagles are led offensively so far this season by senior Noah Brown and junior Ethan Cartwright, each with 11 hits after seven games. Brown has three doubles already with three RBIs while Cartwright has a double, triple, and home run for seven RBIs to lead the team.
