NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. --- Asbury men's tennis (3-1) jumped right back in the win column on Wednesday night against rival Transylvania at Top Seed in Nicholasville, Ky., taking the victory 7-2. 

AU responded from their recent loss to No. 12 Denison in style with a convincing win over the Pioneers from Transylvania. The Eagles have now defeated Transy in their last two meetings.

Asbury took the key doubles point being powered Yousef Ismail and Joseph Lewis in the No. 2 match taking an 8-5 win. Freshmen Argentinian duo Franco Patino and Ignacio Ardiles followed Ismail and Lewis to take their own doubles win, the No. 3 match at 8-5. 

Senior AU leader Gregorio Ingles dominated the No. 1 singles match over Arjun Gupta, setting the tone for the rest of the team with his 6-3 and 6-0 win. The Eagles won five of the six singles matches over Transylvania, leading the way a to a 7-2 overall victory. 

Franco Patino shutout his opponent in the No. 5 singles match, winning 6-0, 6-0. 

With this win AU moves to 3-1 on the spring season to follow up their incredible fall showing leading up to these efforts.
