WILMORE, Ky. --- Today's gameday matchup previews are below:

Asbury at Kentucky State | 2/21/23 | 2 PM | Frankfort, Ky. | Baseball

Asbury baseball (2-0) opened up the 2023 season with two wins on Saturday over Grove City and now meets Kentucky State (2-4) for the first midweek game of the season. First pitch will be at 2 pm in Frankfort, Ky., as the Eagles and Thorobreds meet for the third time in two seasons and 28th time overall. 

The teams split their two matchups last season, Kentucky State taking the first and Asbury responded to take the second. Since 2010 Asbury leads the series with a one game edge, 14 wins compared to Kentucky State's 13. 

Kentucky State, an NCAA Division II program is coming off a conference opening series win over Morehouse, taking two of the three games. The Thorobreds powerful scored 26 runs combined in the three games over the weekend. 

Asbury's offense showed off its strength in the weekend as well, scoring 19 runs in two games.

Asbury at Transylvania | 2/21/23 | 5 PM | Nicholasville, Ky. | Top Seed Tennis Club | Women's Tennis

Asbury women's tennis (1-0) takes the court for the second time this spring on Tuesday night at Top Seed Tennis Club in Nicholasville, Ky., facing Division III opponent Transylvania University (8-0). The two teams met last season on February 25th at the same location, the Pioneers from Transylvania taking the matchup 7-2 over Asbury. 

AU is coming off a spring season opening win last Friday where they topped Hanover College 7-2. Freshman Ariadna Zegarra led the way for Asbury with a No. 1 singles win and a No. 1 doubles victory with sophomore Kourtney Kawata. Zegarra was named the NCCAA Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the week on Monday afternoon. 

Transylvania is undefeated in their eight matches this season, sweeping through the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament this past fall. 

Today's match will begin at 5 pm.
