Eagles Conclude 2023 Season at NCCAA National Tournament


STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
KISSIMMEE, Fl.--- The Asbury men's soccer team (11-5-4) continued their play in the NCCAA National Tournament, taking on Wayland Baptist (9-6-3) on Tuesday afternoon. Two goals in the second gave the Pioneers their 3-0 lead, which they would hold over the Eagles and secure a victory. Tuesday's result concludes the Asbury 2023 season with a record of 11-5-4. 

STORY - TOP PERFORMERS
* Salat Kipterit and Cameron Johnson led AU's shot count, each grabbing two.
* AU's two shots-on-target came from Bryan Ortiz and Salat Kipterit.
* Peyton French faced seven shots and recorded four saves.
* Gavin Howard, Nick Eller, Jason Flaming, and Dalton Fleshood all grabbed one shot a piece.
* WBU's Harry Garbutt scored two goals in the match, with Jamol Williams recording the other.
