How did God use Asbury to impact your life?
During my time at Asbury, I was pushed in my faith and put in challenging situations that allowed me to grow in my relationship with God. Through this growth, I've been able to be a vessel of God's and impact those in my community. Asbury has impacted my life by bringing my husband and I together. Some of my dearest friends are those that I met at Asbury. Academically, I was equipped to be an asset and impact my occupation immediately.
What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
Proverbs 31:25 - "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
Before coming to Asbury, I lived in fear and worry. It was through the community of people around me that I was able to grow in my trust in the Lord and to no longer live in fear.
What is your current occupation?
Senior staff accountant at Deanna Ramsey CPA.
What is your favorite Asbury athletics memory?
My favorite memory would have to be making history with my team by winning the conference championship in back to back years in 2017 and 2018.
Some other favorite memories were the dance parties on the bus rides to away games, the pranks played on our coaches, and the forced family fun nights. The mission trips to Costa Rica and Colombia allowed me to serve alongside my teammates. As we served together, we grew closer together relationally and spiritually.
Honestly, each and every moment spent with the team is my favorite in some sort of way. Being a part of a team, especially at Asbury, is like being a part of a family.
Why would you encourage anyone to attend Asbury University?
Asbury is a place that makes you feel right at home. It is a small community centered around God. I would encourage anyone seeking to pursue excellence in spirituality, academics, and athletics to attend Asbury. Asbury shaped me into the person I am today and will forever be one of my favorite places.
