AU CLUB SPORTS: Roundnet

WILMORE, Ky. - Beginning with the 2022-23 academic year, Asbury University launched its' club sports program, adding disc golf and pickleball to join the previously active roundnet team.

Club sports offer a competitive environment, including tournament play against other universities in the region.
All 3 teams compete against other colleges, including, this year: a win against UK in roundnet back in October.

Our goal is for Asbury to be at the top of the college scene for each of these 3 sports.

These teams offer organized, legitimate, funded, coached team sport experience options to students who are not playing a varsity sport.

Asbury club sports are designed to be in the sweet spot of offering a structured, serious experience, while still allowing athletes to be a part of other activities on campus. The commitment is 6-hours a week.

"It's very rewarding and exciting to see us competing against Division I schools that are 10-20x our size. Our competition pool for these sports includes Ohio State, University of Kentucky, University of Cincinnati, Western Kentucky University, and many other D1 schools. Putting our name in the competition hat along with those names is exciting for our program and for the institution!"
