
DANVILLE, Ky. --- Asbury men's tennis competed in their second tournament of the season on Saturday at the Centre Invitational and remained undefeated in doubles play. AU impressed with their strong play on the day, taking victories against Centre, Hanover, and Campbellsville on the day.
Asbury continued to dominate in doubles matches in the new season as they are now 15-0 in doubles in 2022-2023.
The day started with AU matching up against Campbellsville in three games of doubles. Asbury took all three of their matches over Campbellsville in doubles, led by the duos of Gregorio Ingles and Rodrigo Cavero, Joseph Lewis and Franco Patino, Alejandro Caceres and Chakib Madcar.
AU also went on to face Centre in singles where they sealed victory in the top three matches, but fell in the lower three all by tiebreak. Gregorio Ingles, Alejandro Caceres, and Joseph Lewis each took singles victories over the top three from Centre.
AU then moved on to meet Hanover College for a doubles matchup. The doubles squads from Asbury remained undefeated as they took all three matches from Hanover, making them 15-0 on the season.
AU finished the day with a singles competition against Campbellsville University. Asbury took two out of the six games against the talented Campbellsville singles team.

Asbury will finish their fall competition next weekend in Richmond, Ky., at Eastern Kentucky University on Friday (Sept. 23) and Saturday (Sept. 24).
