PIPPA PASSES, Ky. --- Asbury volleyball traveled to Pippa Passes, KY on Tuesday night to take on the Alice Lloyd College Eagles. AU put together a very strong match, winning all three sets to take the sweep victory over Alice Lloyd, 3-0.
Coming off a highly competitive match on Saturday that ended in a loss with Franklin, the Eagles were looking to get back in the win column and they did just that.
AU got off the bus ready to play as they took the first set 25-13 to set the tone of the entire match. Asbury followed the first set with another set victory at 25-22, and then finished the match in the third set taking a 25-16 win.
Overall on the day, AU outscored Alice Lloyd 75-51. Asbury was led by the freshman from Lebanon, TN, Callie Goodwin. Goodwin hit .429 with a total of 9 kills on 14 attempts.

AU will now look toward a three game weekend at the Wittenberg Classic in Springfield, OH. Asbury will face Geneva College Friday night at 5 pm, and then Wittenberg and Mount St. Joseph on Saturday starting at 11 am.
