PIPPA PASSES, Ky. --- The Asbury baseball team traveled to Pippa Passes, KY for a three-game series with NCCAA opponent Alice Lloyd College. The Asbury offense dominated game one in this series, tallying 24 hits for 21 runs to defeat Alice Lloyd, 21-1. 

Walker Paris took the mound in this game for Asbury, providing 5.0 innings of work with no runs and only 4 hits. Paris received the win in the game for his 4th of the year. David Savastio and Colton Perkins each provided an inning of work to finish the game for AU in 7 innings. 

The Eagles would go from having no runners on base with two outs in the top of the first, to rallying for 7 runs in the inning to set the tone for this incredible game. A 2 RBI double from Nathaniel Frank, 2 run blast from Ethan Cartwright, and bases clearing double from Jackson Cole led the Eagles to the 7-0 lead heading into the second. 

Kaiden Zacharias led off the next inning with a solo blast over the right-center wall, his eighth of the year. The Eagle offense was just getting started as they would score 4 more in the third, 2 in the fourth, 6 in the fifth, and 1 in the seventh. The Eagles were only held scoreless in one inning. 

The AU offense had 13 players record a hit in the game, 8 players with a multi-it game, 5 home runs and 4 doubles to equal 21 runs. The Eagles led this game from the very beginning with stellar offense, clean defense and efficient pitching. 

AU now moves to 16-10 on the season, and will be hunting a series win against Alice Lloyd as they will finish the series tomorrow. 

* Jackson Cole went 3-3 with 4 RBIs (bases clearing double in the first inning)

* Kaiden Zacharias was 3-4 in the game with 3 runs scored, a double and a home run

* Noah Brown also had 3 hits in the game and scored 3 times

* Walker Paris went 2-5 with his second grand slam of the season (4 RBIs on the day)

* Nathaniel Frank, Ethan Cartwright, Josh Head, Kaden Dugle, and Tyler Hewlett all had 2 hits in the game. (Ethan Cartwright, Jacob Smith and Kaden Dugle each with a home run)

* The Asbury offense exploded with 24 hits in the game (5 home runs and 4 doubles)

* The strong AU defense recorded 0 errors in the game

* The Eagles held Alice Lloyd to only 5 hits and 1 run
