NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. –  Asbury's men's tennis team swept Transy 8-1, and the women's team fell 7-2 to Transy on Friday afternoon. 

The men's team has won six consecutive matches and are now 6-0 on the season. The women's team had a four-game winning streak snapped and are now 4-1 on the season.
Gregorio Ingles, Duarte Teixeira, Rodrigo Cavero, Luiz Gustavo Hartkopf, Alejandro Caceres, and Yuri Tirado all won in the double matches, along with their singles.

Tanner Sparks also won his singles match, helping the Eagles claim the victory. 

On the women's side, TU dominated in doubles winning all three matches. However, in singles play Transy would win four of the six singles matches to claim the win.

Gorby and Iriarten would be the only Eagles to win their matches from the day. 

Both teams will play on Saturday against Emory & Henry at 9AM, and at 3PM against Birmingham Southern and Illinois Wesleyan.
