OWENSBORO, Ky. --- Asbury traveled to Owensboro, Ky. on Saturday afternoon to take on the Brescia Bearcats. AU came into this matchup on a five-game winning streak looking to keep their momentum rolling. The Eagles did not skip a beat as they would drop 35 points in the first half holding Brescia to only 22 points. 
AU extended their lead out to 15 (42-27) with 16 minutes to go, but from that point on Brescia would come charging back to make a contest out of the game. With 3 minutes left to go Asbury found themselves tied with Brescia, 58-58. AU then kicked into gear finishing the game on a 13-6 run, led by Dakota Walden with 7 points in that stretch. AU would hold on to win their sixth in a row, 71-64. 

* Dakota Walden had a career day in his hometown of Owensboro scoring a career-high 29 pts, shooting 11-16 from the field (2-3 from 3) and collected 8 reb

* Nick Fort had a monster 15 and 15 game, recording his 10th consecutive double-double and fourteenth of the season

* Eric Powell provided 16 pts for the Eagles, knocking down all 5 of his FT attempts

*Asbury was 19-22 from the FT line on the day

* AU outrebounded Brescia 40-30

* Asbury held Brescia to only 22 points in the first half, and 64 points in the game

* Dakota Walden's career day (29 pts & 8 reb) was huge for helping AU get the victory
