WILMORE, Ky. --- Four Asbury Eagles scored in the double-digits to help beat Sewanee on Tuesday night in the Luce Center, 79-56. With this win, AU stays undefeated on their home court.
Trinity Shearer led the Eagles in scoring with 14 points, recording three three-pointers.
Haleigh Releford,
Abigail Harris, and
Emma Strunk all followed with 11 points each.
Kayla Harlow led the team in rebounds with six and scored nine points.

Jaclynn Ruble, and
Camryn Preston followed Harlow with four rebounds each.
Asbury's defense showed up to play once again, seeing their opponent commit 20 turnovers for the sixth time this season. The Eagles were able to find 26 points from Sewanee's turnovers, with help by
Haleigh Releford,
Spencer Harvey, and
Jaclynn Ruble all with three steals.
Asbury started out the game on a 15-2 run in the first five minutes. Asbury's defense gathered five steals and their offense made four three's to end the quarter with a convincing 26-8 lead.
In the second quarter, Sewanee retaliated with a strong offense, doubling their points from the first for 19 points in the second. It was
Tiffani Riley leading Asbury to 18 points of their own to give them a 44-27 lead heading into the half.
The third quarter was another back-and-forth battle as Sewanee took the quarter again by one point, 20-19.
Trinity Shearer and
Kayla Harlow led AU both going 2-2 from the field and each making a three for five points apiece. Asbury held the 63-47 lead going into the fourth.
AU's defense stood firm once again in the fourth quarter to hold Sewanee to just nine points.
Haleigh Releford led Asbury in the quarter with six points and two rebounds to extend the AU lead. Asbury freshman,
Aaliyah Edenstrom was able to score her first four career points for the Eagles.
Asbury finished the game with a 79-56 win to take them to 6-4 for the season.
