Asbury men's basketball returns home tonight for the second game of the season in the Asbury Luce Center at 7 pm against UC-Clermont. AU is fresh off a road trip to Michigan that includes two comeback wins to set them at 3-0 to start the new campaign.
The Eagles have four players averaging double-digit points so far, led by
Nick Fort at 18.3 and
Dakota Walden at 18.0 per game. Fort is averaging a double-double so far, collected 11.7 rebounds a game with his 18 points.
Transfer guard Caleb Wallis has had a phenomenal start to his Asbury career, averaging 15.7 points per game and shooting 42.6% from three. Clayton Winter is almost averaging a double-double with 13 points and 8.3 rebounds a game.
Asbury is seeking their first 4-0 start to a season since 2014-2015. AU is 5-1 in their history in UC-Clermont, winning the past five meetings after falling by two points to the Cougars in 2011.
Clermont is 1-3 to start their season after taking out Boyce College by double-digits to start the year.
