Ally Moore Named Asbury Softball Head Coach
WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today that
Ally Moore has been named head coach for the softball program.
Moore, who served as an assistant coach during the 2022 season, was a standout pitcher for the Eagles from 2017-2021. The Lawrenceburg, Ky., native graduated cum laude from Asbury in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics. She went on to earn an MBA at AU in May 2022.
After missing the entire 2018 season due to injury, Moore returned to action in 2019 and was named AU's Comeback Player of the Year at the annual Eagle Awards. As a senior in 2021, Moore was named first-team all-conference, leading the Eagles to their first conference tournament appearance in several years.
In 2021, Moore led Asbury on the mound with 124.1 innings pitched (only 64 runs allowed), 53 strikeouts, team leading eight wins, nine complete games, two shoutouts, and an impressive 3.33 ERA. Moore's career pitching stats at Asbury rank among the top with 21 wins, 144 strikeouts, and 20 complete games.

She is familiar with the unique demands of a rigorous academic experience, while competing and training as a college athlete."
Jennifer Sarver will continue to serve on the AU coaching staff and has been promoted to Associate Head Coach. The Eagles open the 2023 season February 11
th, when they face Centre College. The team will be led by junior shortstop
Taylor Enlow, who was named second team All-American by the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA).

Asbury sponsors 17 intercollegiate sports, as well as cheerleading, representing more than 340 student-athletes. A total of 196 student-athletes were named to the TeamAU Academic Honor Roll by earning a semester GPA of 3.25 or better in the 2022 spring semester.
