WILMORE, Ky. — Asbury Men's Basketball matched up with Miami University (Middletown) for the second time this season on Saturday afternoon. The previous matchup had been decided in overtime with the Eagles coming out on top. Today it was the Eagles coming away with the win again but this time a little more comfortably. Asbury would hit their stride in the 2nd half scoring a dominating 62 points, leading them to a 106-80 victory.Â
The Eagles were led by junior, Eric Powell as he scored a career high 35 points, knocking down 8 3-PT. Asbury, as a team shot the ball extremely well making a total of 16 3-PT in the game. Nick Fort continues to play strong basketball as he recorded his 5th double-double in a row, scoring 23 pts with 12 reb. It was an efficient team win for AU as they finish the week strong, moving to 7-8 on the season.Â
