CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Asbury University softball team fell twice at No. 11 Campbellsville on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference play doubleheader.
The No. 11 Tigers won game one 2-0 and then took game two 4-0.
With the two losses, Asbury moves to 1-5 on the season and will look to get back on track tomorrow afternoon at Alice Lloyd at 1 & 3 PM.
Game one
*Campbellsville scored the only runs of the game on RBI singles up the middle in the first and fifth innings.
*
Ally Moore pitched a complete game for the Eagles, marking her season debut. The senior gave up seven hits and struck out one.
*AU had a tough day at the plate and managed only one hit in the loss from
Madison Moss.
*Asbury drew three walks and left five runners on base, while the Tigers collected seven hits.
Game two
*CU struck first with an RBI single in the bottom of the first for a 1-0 edge.
*The Tigers would add three runs in the second inning off a home run, and RBI single, and a run scored off stealing home.
*AU finished with two hits as
Brynna Reynolds and
Abby Fletcher each tabbed one hit a piece.

Abby Ponder got the start in the circle, pitching two innings.
Taylor Enlow would pitch the remainder of the contest in relief, striking out three. Enlow gave up just three hits in four innings of work.
