Ben Okenge - Men's Basketball - Kampala, Uganda

What is your major/minor?
I am majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in coaching.

Why did you choose Asbury?
In my senior year of high school, God made it very clear to me that Asbury was going to be the best place for me to flourish in my entirety as a person and I knew I'd be pushed to grow in every area of life (academic, physical and spiritual).

What is your favorite Bible verse?
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (NIV)

Who is your favorite athlete?
My dad, André (running) and my little brother, Stéphane (basketball) are my two favorite athletes.

What is your favorite Asbury sports moment?
I have great memories of bonding with my teammates over Christmas break when we are the only ones here on campus. We've had some intense prank wars in the dorms! I have a feeling my favorite sports moments are yet to come this year though!

Kat Ivey - Women's Lacrosse - Louisville, KY

What is your major/minor?
My major is Pre-Art Therapy.

Why did you choose Asbury?
I chose Asbury because of the lacrosse team dynamic and the art program.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

Who is your favorite athlete?
My favorite athlete is our assistant coach Graeleigh Lackey.

What is your favorite Asbury sports moment?
My favorite Asbury sports moment would have to be after someone scores during a game we give each other hugs and stick clinks.
