OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The Asbury University men's basketball team snapped their two-game losing streak with a 100-91 victory at Oakland City on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles improve to 14-5 on the year and win their sixth road game of the season.

Leander Ridgeway led the Eagles on Saturday in points, rebounds, and assists. He was just three assists away from a triple-double. The senior tallied 27 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists and shot 66 percent from the field.

Eric Powell recorded 25 points and connected on five threes, while
Nick Fort scored 18 points, reaching double figures scoring for the 19
th straight game.

Jamiel Goliday added 12 and
Siah Holifield finished with 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
*Asbury shot a season-best 21-24 from the free throw line for 87 percent on the day.
*AU also hit 13 threes, which marks their 10

*The Eagles scored 40 points in the paint, 22 points off turnovers, and shot 47 percent from the field.

*Asbury was lights out offensively in the first half, as they made 12 threes and shot over 50 percent from the floor.
*Leading 16-12 in the opening half, the Eagles extended their lead with a 14-0 run to take a commanding 30-12 lead.
*AU led 37-19 halfway through the first and were shooting over 70 percent from the field.
*The Eagles took a 15-point lead into halftime leading 58-43.
*Oakland City would outscore Asbury 48-42 in the second half as the lead began to shrink.
*AU led 66-47 early in the second half, but the Mighty Oaks used a 15-2 run to reduce the lead down to six.
*OCU led 86-85 with three minutes to play, but the Eagles fought back with a 9-0 run to regain the lead. Ridgeway would score seven of the nine points in the run to put the Eagles in front 94-86.
*In total, Asbury ended the final three minutes on a 15-6 run to comeback and secure the victory.
