WILMORE, Ky -- The Asbury University women's basketball team won its second straight game as the Eagles were victorious over Centre College 81-75 at the Luce Center on Thursday evening.
Top Performers:
*Herriford finished with 19 points on 5-13 shooting from the field. The Lexington, Ky. native was 8-12 from the foul line. Herriford also brought in eight rebounds and dished out three assists.
* Trinity Shearer had another efficient night defensively as she recorded six steals, five rebounds, and a team-high four assists.
*Jaclynn Ruble reached double figures scoring 12 points on 5-15 shooting. Ruble knocked down two threes, added two rebounds, and dished out an assist.
* Paige Taylor and Sarah Dennison both collected 11 points apiece.
Key Stats:
* Asbury shot 38 percent from the field and did a great job sharing the ball with 12 total assists.
* Another game where the Eagles had five players score in double digits.
* The Eagles finished with 31 points scored off turnovers, forcing Centre to commit 22 turnovers throughout the game.
* AU only collected 12 bench points compared to Centre's 26.
