Eagles Fall in NCCAA Mideast Regional Semifinals

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Asbury men's soccer team fell 3-1 at Campbellsville University on Friday evening in the NCCAA Mid-East Regional Semi Finals to Oakland City University.

The Mighty Oaks scored their first goal at the 34th mark; minutes later, the second goal was scored. 

AU continued to fight and saw the back of the net with their lone goal of the match from Antoine Yongbang. 

At the 77th minute, OCU would score their last goal of the match to secure their win. 

AU concludes the 2021-22 season with an overall record of 4-11-1.

"Every loss is hard to take. However, when a loss ends careers, it's heart wrenching. This game felt different from the beginning. It seemed like we did what we needed to do to come away with a win. To my seniors, thank you for your blood, sweat, and tears. You were great players for AU but even better men."
