WILMORE, Ky - The Asbury University women's basketball team won big on Wednesday evening against Miami Hamilton with a 98-41 victory at the Luce Center.
Asbury collects their first win at home for the 2021-2022 season to improve their record 1-1 on the year.
Key Stats
*Jaclynn Ruble led the Eagles in all the stat columns for the match tonight. She led in points (17), steals (2), rebounds (6), and assists (3).
*Freshman Tiffani Riley had a big night, scoring in double digits, contributing 17 points.
*Autumn Herriford, Kayla Harlow, and Paige Taylor both recorded ten apiece.
* Asbury's largest lead of the night was in the fourth quarter and was up by 63.
* AU had nine turnovers but scored 34 points in the paint and was 41 percent from the three-point line.
*The Eagles' offense came out strong, shooting 49 percent from the field. The Eagles knocked down 10 threes and were 76 percent from the free-throw line.
* Asbury continued to attack the boards throughout the second half, and their bench play and depth remain a key to the team's success.
