Eagles Roll Past Boyce 90-69 for Fifth Consecutive Win

Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Asbury University men's basketball team put together a complete performance on Tuesday evening, winning 90-69 at Boyce College.

The Eagles win their fifth straight game and move to 9-2 overall on the season. Asbury also remains perfect in road contests this year at 3-0.

Key Stats
*Eric Powell scored a season-high 23 points to pace the Eagles' offense. Powell was 4-8 from three-point land and also totaled six rebounds and three steals.
*Junior Nick Fort tallied 21 points on 10-18 shooting and brought in a team-high eight rebounds.
*Sophomore Dakota Walden scored a career-high 20 points on 6-7 shooting from the floor and also posted six rebounds and four steals.
*Walden was 7-9 from the foul line as the Eagles finished 14-19 as a team for the game.
*Jamiel Goliday scored in double figures with 11 points, and Thomas Thompson added six off the bench.
*AU knocked down 10 threes and shot 52 percent from the field on 33-63 shooting.
*Additionally, the Eagles scored 42 points in the paint and 16 fast-break points, while forcing 20 turnovers from Boyce.

Highlights
*Asbury rallied from an early 10-4 deficit with a 15-2 run to take a 19-12 lead.
*The Eagles' offense continued to score at will as they increased their lead out to 40-23 before taking a 12-point advantage heading into the locker room at halftime (40-28).
*In the second half of action, the Eagles maintained their lead and increased their led out to 20 after another three from Eric Powell at 67-47.
*Boyce was never able to cut the lead lower than 18 from Asbury in the final 10 minutes of the contest.
*AU outscored the Bulldogs 50-41 in the second half as Asbury shot 58 percent from the floor on 17-29 shooting attempts.

The Eagles will return to action at Midway on Saturday.
