WILMORE, Ky. – Behind a strong outing from
Tyler Morrison, the Asbury University baseball team won its third straight game on Tuesday evening at Cecil Zweifel Field.
The Eagles were victorious 4-2 over Thomas More, which marks the third time this season that AU has defeated the Saints.
Asbury also improves to 14-4 on the year and is now 7-1 in home games played in Wilmore.
Highlights

Tyler Morrison pitched 6.2 innings of work and collected the victory on the mound. The Sophomore tabbed seven strikeouts and allowed only one earned run.

Bryce Barber and
Jacob Cervantes pitched the remainder of the game in relief to help preserve the win.
*Asbury scored two runs in the fourth and another two in the fifth to round out the runs scored on the day.

Trevor Campbell's two-run homer in the fourth initially gave the Eagles a 2-1 edge.
*AU extended the lead out to 4-1 following an RBI single from
Garrett McIntire and a bases loaded walk drew by
Walker Paris in the fifth.
*TMU added another run in the seventh and did not cross the plate throughout the rest of the game.
*The Saints threatened to score again in the ninth with a runner in scoring position, but was left stranded.
Key Stats
*Garrett McIntire had another big day at the plate, producing a team-high three hits in the victory. McIntire also recorded an RBI and scored two runs.

Colton Back produced his fourth multi-hit game of the year with two hits.
*In total, Asbury finished with nine hits in the win.
*The Asbury pitching staff had another great day on the mound, striking out 10 and only allowing one earned run.

Asbury will travel to WVU Tech for a three-game series beginning on Friday. The series will be played at Kennedy Center Field in Hungtingon, WV.
