PIPPA PASSES, Ky. – The Asbury University men's basketball team closed out the 2019-20 season on Thursday with a 93-85 road win at Alice Lloyd.

Highlights
*AU trailed 16-7 early on, but quickly regained the lead thanks to a 15-3 run.
*The Eagles continued to score at will and built their lead out to 12 at 46-34 moments later.
*Asbury shot 61 percent from the floor in the first half and led 50-41 at the break.
*Eric Powell shot 4-5 from three-point territory in the first half, while Leander Ridgeway posted 11 points and six rebounds in the first 20 minutes of action to lead the way.
*The Eagles offense slowed down to open the second half and only produced 10 points in the first 10 minutes, which allowed ALC to cut the lead down to 60-56.
*Alice Lloyd reduced the deficit down to just two with under six minutes to play, but AU went on a 7-2 run in 60 seconds to push the lead back to seven.
*AU hit nine free throws in the final three minutes of action to help hold off ALC and clinch the game.

Key Stats
*Eric Powell led Asbury in scoring with 22 points in the victory. Powell shot 11-19 from three in the two wins this week.
*Leander Ridgeway tallied 20 points along with eight rebounds, while Siah Holifield recorded 15 points and six boards.
*Drew Delatte finished the night with a career-high 13 rebounds and also scored eight points.
*Freshman Caleb Bonny rounded out the double figures scoring with 11 points.
*AU shot 39 percent for the contest and knocked down nine threes.
*The Eagles were 22-28 from the foul line and scored 15 second chance points.
