KOKOMO, Ind. – The Asbury University men's basketball team lost 82-66 on Tuesday evening at RSC foe IU Kokomo.

The Eagles found themselves trailing 44-27 at halftime and were unable to rally back despite outscoring IUK in the second half of action.

Asbury drops its third straight game and moves to 8-18 on the year.
IU Kokomo improves 22-5 on the year and remains in first place in the RSC West.

Key Stats
*Eric Powell scored 20 points to lead Asbury on 6-15 shooting. Powell was also a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.
*Jamiel Goliday recorded 13 points and collected five rebounds.
*Caleb Bonny finished with 12 points, while Desmond Duke totaled 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
*Siah Holifield dished out a team-high six assists and scored eight points.
*The Eagles finished the game shooting 35 percent from the field.
*Asbury scored 30 points in the paint and 16 points off turnovers.
*The Cougars scored 40 points inside the paint and produced 31 bench points.
*Two players for IUK finished with a double-double.  

Highlights
*Kokomo quickly put the Eagles in a hole after scoring 23 points in the first seven minutes of play to lead by 14.
*The Eagles trailed by double figures in the last 15 minutes of the first half.
*Asbury started the second half off on a strong note, and a 10-4 spurt reduced the lead to just eight at 55-47 with 12 minutes remaining, after an Eric Powell three-point field goal.
*The Cougars returned the favor with a 15-8 run over the next five minutes of action to push the lead back to 15 at 70-55 and Asbury was unable to climb back from the deficit.
