PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Asbury University women's soccer team saw their five-game winning streak end in a 2-1 loss at Carlow on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles drop to 5-4-1 overall and move to 4-2-1 in River States Conference league play.
Asbury remains in fourth place in the RSC standings and are now 4-2 in road contests this year.
Highlights
*An early goal from the Celtics in the 16
th minute gave Carlow a 1-0 lead off a corner kick.
*Moments later, CU added another goal to take a 2-0 advantage with over 20 minutes left in the opening half.

Elizabeth Sparks put the Eagles on the board in the 29
th minute to cut the deficit down to 2-1. Sparks has now scored six goals this season and was named the RSC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
*AU was limited to only two shots in the first half, but the Eagles fired off 10 shots in the second period.
*Asbury posted seven shots initially in the first 17 minutes of the second half, including a shot that hit off the post from
Madie Boehnlein, but AU came away empty-handed.
*Carlow did not take a shot throughout the entirety of the second half but were able to hold on for a 2-1 victory.
