WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University men's basketball team collected a 98-90 win at home over River States Conference opponent Alice Lloyd on Saturday afternoon.

Asbury collects its first win in 2020, but more importantly, picks up its first River States Conference victory.
The Eagles improve to 7-13 on the year and are now 1-6 in league play. Additionally, AU wins its fourth home game of the season.
Alice Lloyd falls to 9-10, (3-4 RSC).

Key Stats
*Jamiel Goliday tallied a career-high 24 points to help guide the Eagles to victory. Goliday was nearly perfect on the day, shooting 9-10 from the floor, along with a 6-6 shooting effort from three-point territory.
*Leander Ridgeway followed in the scoring column with 20 points, a team-high six assists, and five rebounds.
*Siah Holifield recorded 19 points on 6-11 shooting, while Eric Powell added 17 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
*Caleb Bonny also scored in double figures with 10 points. Bonny finished 5-6 from the foul line.
*AU compiled 15 assists as a team and shot just under 50 percent (49.2) for the contest.
*The Eagles scored 32 points in the paint and produced 36 points off the bench.

*Asbury maintained a 45-40 edge at halftime despite trailing 22-15 early on.
* Goliday's career-high day started early, as he paced the offense with 17 first-half points.
*Asbury's largest lead in the contest was 15 points midway through the second half at 73-58.
* A big slam-dunk from Drew Delatte pushed Asbury ahead 85-73 with three minutes to play.
*Alice Lloyd cut the lead down to just three points in the second half, but the Eagles never gave up the lead in the final 20 minutes of action.
* AU scored 53 points in the second half and held off a late rally from ALC, who cut the lead down to single digits late in the game.
