YORKTOWN, Ind. – After a strong performance on the course on Friday, the Asbury men and women golf teams had another successful day as they both finished in the top five on the final day of the Players Club Invitational in Yorktown, Ind.
The women placed third and the men ended the Invitational tied for fourth place.
On the women's side,
Hannah McCrabb finished in sixth place overall after shooting a 153 for the weekend. The junior improved her score by five strokes by shooting a 74 on Saturday.
Faith Wiley collected a tie for ninth place and shot a 160.
Jill Florence finished inside the top 15, shooting a 162 overall.
Victor Vargas posted a 10
th place finish for the men to lead the way. The sophomore shot a 147 on the day and recorded a 70 on Saturday, improving his score by an impressive seven strokes.
Marcos Ezcurra and
Jose Bustingorri finished tied for 12
th and 18
th place respectively. Ezcurra shot a 149 and Bustingorri shot a 151 for the Invitational.
AU will look to improve off their play in their tournament on September 16 in Columbia, Ky. at Lindsey Wilson.
