Luce Center Gym

The Luce Center Gym is in the center of the Asbury Luce Center, located on the campus of Asbury University in Wilmore, Ky. The facility was built in 1993 and is named to honor the memory of Asbury University's late Board Chairman, George E. Luce, who served in that capacity from 1978 until his death in 1990.

Dr. Luce was former Chairman of the Blue Bird Bus Body Company of Fort Valley, Georgia. He attended Asbury in 1938-39 and served as a member of the AU Board of Trustees for 33 years.

Home to the Asbury men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading teams, the Luce Center is across the hallway from the Asbury Strength & Performance Room, as well as the AU Sports-Medicine Center. With a versatile 2,500 square foot space that hosts Asbury Graduation every spring, the Luce Center Gym also hosts capacity crowds for the annual Gym Jamboree, featuring the AU Tumbling team.

* The floor was renovated and painted by Prater’s Flooring in the summer of 2022. Prater's Flooring is the official playing court provider of the Maui Classic.
