Softball Field

Home of Asbury softball, the Asbury Softball Field was upgraded prior to the start of the 2020 season with a new resurfaced infield along with new sod in front of both dugouts and behind home plate. Additionally, a new Asbury Eagles scoreboard sits behind the centerfield wall. The outfield features a Bluemuda natural grass surface. Summer 2021 the facility was upgraded again with a brand new press box that sits behind home plate.

The two-story press box structure features a climate-controlled elevated view above the softball grandstands for game management staff and all home game broadcast crews of the Asbury Sports Digital Network.

The press box also provides the capability to produce live radio broadcasts of AU Softball. The first floor provides much-needed storage space. The project also includes the installation of a new permanent sound system for the softball facility.

Directly behind the third base dugout of the Asbury softball field sits the Bowdoin Athletic Practice Facility, offering convenient access to the AU softball program. Dedicated and opened in March of 2018, the facility features a turf surface throughout with two batting cages and a 90-foot space for throwing, agility, and other needs.

The facility is connected through sidewalk in walking distance to the Asbury Luce Center, as well as the entire campus of Asbury University.
